Climbing is an artistic, creative thing; it's about being spontaneous, traveling, seeing the world, hanging out. It's a balance of setting goals while enjoying the process, being ambitious without being too competitive. --Chris Sharma

Biddie’s Night Out (TR) 5.7 ★
Location: On the West Face of Battell between the North and Central Wings.
Details: Extend an anchor out the window at the top of third floor staircase (anchors can be constructed on stair railings). Climb the ivy covered left facing corner, steming between it and the doorframe. Continue up using window and roof ledges as holds. Biddie Tips: An excellent ‘I’m sexiled for the third nigh in a row’ evening activity. Bonus points for sending in Uggs and tight black leggings. |

Slayer (TR) 5.10c ★★★
Location: Just right of the door on the South Wall of Voter
Details: Using a long cordalette, sling the wall between the two bathroom windows on the third floor of Voter. Follow small crimps up the wall between the windows, or for style points layback off either window edge. Biddie Tips: In true Slayer fashion, this route was first slayed in broad daylight during a MMC Northern Lights Festival. If you plan a similarly timed repeat, make sure you polish off your pub safe sweet talking skills first. |
Senior Week (TR/Trad) 5.11a R ★★★Location: East Face of Atwater A or West Face of Atwater B (below any of the many windows with granite bars running across them).
Details: Sling anyone of the numerous granite window bars to make a bomber top rope anchor, or live on the wild side and place tiny cams in infrequent cracks, and sling the same window bars to protect the route on lead. Routes alternate between dicey unprotected face moves and easy but awkward windowsill maneuvering. Biddie Tips: Due to the placement of suicide prevention bars in all upper story Atwater windows, building TR anchors has become quite difficult. The best method is to have several people push someone of biddie sized proportions out the window (just make sure they’re anchored in first) and then have them build an anchor and rap down. |
